Building on the BBC Primer platform, this project is developing tools to use ubiquitous sensor technology to drive UHD software re-framing. Multiple UHD cameras are locked-off with a wide shot from a variety of angles. Usable shots are cropped from the UHD frame and mixed in near-real time using web-technology. Semantic information about the current capture space (e.g. what is happening and who is doing it) alongside genre and story boarding conventions can be used to drive which of these shots is used, producing a variety of edit decisions depending on context.
